The Duke Center for Healthcare Safety and Quality is proud to be a part of the Duke University Health System’s (DUHS) Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Office. The Center and the Office work together to uphold the mission, vision and values of Duke Health for staff, patients and visitors at all Duke healthcare facilities.
The deeply interconnected work of the Center and the DUHS Quality & Safety Office has led to innovative projects and events that advance Duke’s commitment to zero preventable harm through the process of quality improvement. These projects include:
- Patient and Family Engagement
- Annual Quality and Safety Conference
- CulturePulse (Duke workplace culture survey)
- Evidence-Based Practice Workshop
- Safety Culture Research
- Safety Leadership Courses
In addition, the Center and the Quality and Safety Office collaborate on several great quality improvement projects led by our colleagues across the University, such as the Duke IHI Open School and Healthy Duke.
